Our Story

Family-owned. Austin-grown. Here for the long run.

Three decades of quietly showing up for Austin's pets and the people who love them.

Our veterinary team

Since 1992, a neighborhood you can bring your pet to.

Cedar Creek Animal Hospital opened its doors in 1992 with a simple idea: veterinary care should feel a little more like family and a little less like a factory. Founded by Dr. Elena Torres and Dr. Michael Torres — high-school sweethearts who met at Texas A&M vet school — the practice started with two exam rooms and a very loud parrot named Reggie.

Today, our team has grown to include four veterinarians, seven registered technicians, and one very tolerant clinic cat. What hasn't changed is the way we practice: we take our time, we speak plainly, and we treat every pet like our own. Because for many of us, they've grown up right alongside our kids.

We're proud to be locally owned — not part of a corporate chain — and to sponsor adoption events, low-cost vaccine clinics, and the Little League team down the street. This is our neighborhood. You're our neighbors. That still means something to us.
